Nimes Lagoon - Ornithological reserve just 1 km away from the town center. In the way, when crossing a small suspension bridge over Calafate river through the strawberry plantations, one may observe some flamingoes, ducks, Silvery Grebes, Black-necked Swans, avutardas and thrushes.
In the end, a small peaceful beach invites to enjoy the beauty of dusk and dawns during summer time. In winter the lagoon turns into a natural ice-skating rink.
When to go
The southern summer is the most recommendable season to visit this region, since it is possible to estimate the wonderful ones and impactantes natural landscapes in his(her,your) brilliance, and even it is possible if one is lucky, to observe some detachment of ice of the glaciers.
